The Three Little Pigs

Once upon a time, there were three little pigs who decided to leave home and build houses of their own. The first little pig, eager to finish quickly and play, built his house out of straw. The second little pig, wanting a bit more protection but still in a hurry, built his house out of sticks. The third little pig, wiser and more patient, decided to build his house out of bricks, knowing it would take longer but provide the best shelter.

One day, a hungry wolf came prowling around. He spotted the straw house and, licking his lips, knocked on the door. “Little pig, little pig, let me come in!” he called.

“Not by the hair of my chinny-chin-chin!” squealed the first pig.

“Then I’ll huff, and I’ll puff, and I’ll blow your house in!” growled the wolf. And he did. With a mighty breath, he blew the straw house to pieces. The little pig ran as fast as he could to his brother's stick house.

The wolf, undeterred, followed and soon reached the stick house. “Little pigs, little pigs, let me come in!” he called.

“Not by the hairs of our chinny-chin-chins!” the two pigs replied.

“Then I’ll huff, and I’ll puff, and I’ll blow your house in!” the wolf threatened. And with a great huff and a puff, he blew the stick house down, sending both pigs scrambling for safety. They raced to their brother's brick house, slamming the door behind them.

The wolf, now very hungry and very determined, reached the sturdy brick house. “Little pigs, little pigs, let me come in!” he demanded.

“Not by the hairs of our chinny-chin-chins!” the three pigs replied, standing together.

“Then I’ll huff, and I’ll puff, and I’ll blow your house in!” the wolf snarled. He huffed and puffed, and puffed and huffed, but no matter how hard he tried, the brick house stood strong.

Frustrated and exhausted, the wolf decided to try a different tactic. He climbed onto the roof, thinking he could sneak in through the chimney. But the clever third pig had a plan. He quickly lit a fire in the fireplace and set a pot of water to boil.

Just as the wolf started to slide down the chimney, he fell straight into the boiling pot with a great splash! Yelping in pain, he shot back up the chimney and ran away, never to bother the three little pigs again.

Safe in their sturdy brick house, the three little pigs celebrated their victory. They danced and sang, knowing they had outsmarted the wolf. From that day on, they lived happily ever after, enjoying the safety and warmth of their strong, brick home. And they never forgot the lesson: that hard work and planning always pay off in the end.

The End.
